Allium schoenoprasum

The medium to dark green tubes of the chives grow in clusters and reach a length of up to 45 cm. Its taste is mildly leeky with a fresh onion note. In fine rolls, chives are an evergreen classic in salads,
quark, spreads, soups and egg dishes.

Chopped or whole, it is a quick and easy decoration. Chives are also an important ingredient in green sauce.

TIPS FOR USE

Chives in combination with banana is a wonderful addition to a smoothie.
