Petroselinum sativum

Flat-leaf parsley grows in small clumps. Its smooth leaves have a fresh green colour and are very toothed. The savoury aroma of this spice plant is even more expressive than that of its curly sister. As
its more intense flavour is milder overall, flat-leaf parsley is not only used as a salad ingredient, such as in Greek salads, but also as a salad itself, e.g. as Lebanese tabouleh.

The finely chopped leaves and stems are ideal for soups, stews, egg dishes, meat fillings, sauces or marinades.

TIPS FOR USE

Flat-leaf parsley is also suitable as an appetising garnish.

From the beginning of April to mid-December: harvest in the open field is cut at a height of 20 – 30 cm; from mid-December to April: import from Italy and Spain.
